“Reconciling the Lost to the Cross”

Recon Vision

Our purpose as a church is to reconcile man to God and man to man.

Our aim is to reconcile families, communities and to reconcile the lost to the cross.

Our vision is to provide a place where the hurt, depressed, frustrated and lost can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness and encouragement.

It is our desire to share the love of Christ with everyone in our community, welcoming them to our church and fellow-shipping together.

It is our vision to develop spiritual maturity through teaching small groups, seminars and spiritual development. To equip men and women to ministry and to face the challenges of the world, whether it be through education, career opportunities or personal growth.

1 Tim 3:15 says the church is the family of God.
God doesn’t want His children to grow up alone, so he created a spiritual family for us. Paul reminds us in Ephesians 2:19 that we are members of God’s very own family and so we belong to God’s household, along with every other believer.  In essence, a Christian without a church is an orphan.

The Pastors, executive board and leaders are responsible for the running of the church. Leadership gets appointed by the Pastors and/or the leaders and members are expected to respect them as such. Reconciliation Ministries has three heads – Pastor Andrew & Lynn Swartz and Pastor Jerome. While the Church’s executive board and leaders may change over the years, these three are founding members of Recon and are constant in the organization of the church.

As pointed out in our vision, Recon was built to strengthen relationships between God and man and also amongst each other. To achieve this, we encourage our member to get involved in the different ministries at our church. If a member is gifted in a particular field and no ministry is available, one could be created. New ministries are encouraged should there be a need.

Evangelism, youth, young adults, children’s church, men’s and women’s ministry, worship team, welfare committee, multimedia committee, production committee, intersession and sound ministry are the current subsections of the Reconciliation Ministries, collectively known as Recon Life!

If you’re eager to get involved in ministry, inform the leadership of your vision and desires and show an eagerness for the work of God and opportunities will definitely be present within Recon Life. Essentially, being part of this church is not just a membership, it’s a lifestyle.
