Recon Men
Over the years, Recon Men have grown considerably in numbers and stature. These Men have turned setbacks and disappointments into victories! Their aim is to take a stand as Men and fulfil what is expected of them within their households, their communities and within the Church. Their purpose is to draw closer to God and ask Him to direct their paths.
Ephesians 5:17 – Therefore do not be unwise but understand what the will of the Lord is!
Recon Women
A powerhouse in the Church, Recon Women’s Ministry urges our ladies to accomplish the vision which God has birthed in their hearts. Our teaching is centered around the fact that God created us with a unique purpose to fulfil, with our mission to find the “authentic you”! More over, Recon Women know how to have FUN! With programmes set out to unify this team, this Ministry aims to build lasting, Christ-based friendships, create an environment of fellowship, and act as an support structure within the Church – through prayer, service and even fundraising.
Recon Kidz Church
Teaching God’s Word at a young age is as vital to our kids’ spiritual growth as going to school is for their mental growth. In fact, it’s more important to teach our youngsters God’s Word in an easy-to-learn, child-friendly manner that sticks with them throughout their life. We aim to set a foundation of faith in the hearts of our kid’s, so that one day they too will teach others the way of Christ. Recon Kidz Church consists of two classes, grouped age 4-7 and age 7-12. It’s here where the kids sing, learn, play and pray every Sunday between 10 and 11am. They are taught from a specific syllabus and their growth is monitored closely by the teachers.
Recon Youth
Teenagers for Christ! Our Youth Ministry is an exciting, hip & happenin’ branch of Recon where our youngsters meet up every Friday at 7:30pm. It’s a safe space where our youth can let their hair down, socialise, party and learn the Word of God. It’s here that our youngsters learn to grow their heart for God and, at the same time, form lifelong friends that will stay with them throughout their Christian walk. Most importantly we want to instil in our children that it’s possible to have FUN in Christ.
Recon Faith Teachings
“Hear the Word, Believe the Word and Act on the Word.” These are principle teaching within the Recon Ministry and, at times, it’s a deeper insight into the Word of God that’s needed. Recon Faith Teachings is a bible based programme, with a set syllabus designed specifically for the needs of this Church by Pastor Andrew. This syllabus is completed during a full calendar year, each Monday at 7:30pm, however new members are welcome to start at any point. Our Faith Teachings also has a Youth Class, with the aim of enlightening our younger members and giving them a solid teaching foundation.
Recon Prayer Warriors
Intercession is the heartbeat of the Church, without it, there will be no progress in the spiritual battles we face daily in our personal lives and in the life of the Ministry. God has called us to pray for our families, our community and our Church, and we do this every Wednesday at 7:30pm. Everyone is welcome, it’s a sacred space where we give our burdens to the Lord and seek His grace, guidance and spiritual upliftment.
Recon Worship & Sound
Music is a core function within the Recon Family, with the Sunday morning worship service being the highlight of our weekly programme. It’s here where our Worship & Sound team are required to put all their skills and training into operation, and in order to do so, we must first connect as a team. This team’s goal is to take our members into the very throneroom of God, through Praise & Worship in it’s purest form.
Recon Dancers
A group of talented young ladies within the Recon Family meet weekly to train in the art of spiritual dance, creating beautiful performances that serves its own form of worship. These dancers are committed to using their talents to the glory of God and in doing so, form strong friendships and grow in fellowship with their team.
Recon Young Adults
Our over 20s are fun and active within the Ministry, and make time to connect outside of Church. These group of young adults aim to spread the gospel through a more casual means of fellowship. They’re also there for each other in support, prayer and socially for a good time!
